DEGREE PRESENTATION

The main objective of the bachelor's degree in Nursing is to train professionals who can promote health, prevent disease and provide quality care to people with health issues, in their recovery from disease and at the end of life.

To this end, we provide comprehensive and personalized training, in which students acquire skills in human relations, technology management, and critical, reflective and social commitment.

We work with students on relationship strategies so that they can help patients and their relatives to solve problems, cope with changes in their lifestyle, and handle and use healthcare technology. We also show them how they can organize their work and involve themselves with people from an ethical and committed point of view. For this purpose, the faculty is equipped with simulation laboratories with the latest technologies. We work with small groups of people and innovative methodologies such as problem-based learning (PBL) as well as tutored clinical internships that are held from the first year. We also put the emphasis on continuous learning, which means learning from accredited sources of information and practical experience, and by contributing to group work, among other things.

We should point out that our academic project is directly linked to professional medical attention in different areas of healthcare. For this reason, we offer a wide range of internships in hospitals, primary care centres, mental health centres, and geriatric and palliative care centres.

Likewisend, the Faculty of Nursing is committed to international learning and projection, so our degree courses can include such internationalization programs as Erasmus, the European Nursing Module (ENM), or the International Network of Universities (INU). Participation in these programs can help to acquire the language competence that is essential to obtaining the bachelor's degree; it can reinforce scientific learning, and open up professional job opportunities in other countries. Students can also carry out part of their training at other Spanish universities through the SICUE-Seneca program.

Throughout their degree, students are advised by an academic tutor and the whole teaching team, which consists of permanent and adjunct lecturers, professionals in the field of healthcare, and administrative and technical staff.
